1. Samsung Galaxy M30

The Galaxy M30 sets the upper limit of Samsung’s cheap phones with its price point of just under $250. It comes with mid-range specifications and features but there’s a lot to like about this phone. You get a beautiful display, smooth and polished software, and a decent camera.
What is the biggest selling point of this phone though is the huge battery it packs, resulting in excellent battery life. The Galaxy M30 hits all the right affordable mid-range notes and is one of the best cheap Samsung phones you can buy.

Samsung Galaxy M30 specs:
  • Display: 6.4-inch, Full HD+
  • SoC: Exynos 7904
  • RAM: 4/6GB
  • Storage: 64/128GB
  • Rear camera: 13MP, 5MP, and 5MP
  • Front camera: 16MP
  • Battery: 5,000mAh
  • Software: Android 9.0 Pie

2. Samsung Galaxy A30

The Samsung Galaxy A30 has quite a bit in common with the M30. You get the same gorgeous display. Both phones are powered by the same mid-range processor, and the front-facing camera is identical. However, the Galaxy A30 caters to the lower end of the feature spectrum in a few ways.
Samsung opted to go with a dual rear camera setup with the Galaxy A30. A lower RAM and storage variant is available, and its battery is also smaller (but you still get pretty good battery life). The M30 is likely the better option, but the Galaxy A30 has a leg up when it comes to the price. If you’re looking for a solid Samsung phone under $200, the Galaxy A30 is a great way to go.

Samsung Galaxy A30 specs:
  • Display: 6.4-inch, Full HD+
  • SoC: Exynos 7904
  • RAM: 3/4GB
  • Storage: 32/64
  • Rear camera: 16MP and 5MP
  • Front camera: 16MP
  • Battery: 4,000mAh
  • Software: Android 9.0 Pie

3. Samsung Galaxy A20

Samsung Galaxy A20
The Samsung Galaxy A20 doesn’t bring as much to the table as the A30 and the M30. You get a lower resolution display, a slightly less powerful processor, and a camera setup that doesn’t quite match up. However, the one advantage it has over the other two is that the Galaxy A20 is officially available in the U.S. from various network carriers, so you won’t have to worry about network compatibility.
You can pick up the Galaxy A20 from VerizonSprintT-MobileBoost Mobile, and MetroPCS. Something to keep in mind though is that if you are okay with getting the international (no warranty) version, the Galaxy A20 is far cheaper on Amazon.

Samsung Galaxy A20 specs:
  • Display: 6.4-inch, HD+
  • SoC: Exynos 7884
  • RAM: 3
  • Storage: 32GB
  • Rear camera: 13MP and 5MP
  • Front camera: 8MP
  • Battery: 4,000mAh
